Motorcycle Rider Advancement Centre

Welcome to the exiting world of riding a motorcycle, where we can all improve our riding skills.

Although the risk to the motorcyclist is higher than that of the motorist, research has shown that training dramatically reduces the risk of accidents, costly repairs and time off work due to injury. This life saving training is available at the Motorcycle Rider Advancement Centre (MRAC) conveniently located next to the Johannesburg Licence Testing Grounds in Langlaagte, Johannesburg. MRAC was founded in 1988.  Dirk du Plooy, the chief instructor and owner of MRAC, was trained by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation of America (MSF) - the world’s foremost motorcycle safety and training authorities.  The other instructors presenting MRAC courses have been trained locally to MSF standards.  A fleet of well-maintained motorcycles are available to use on the courses.  All courses include classroom instruction with audio visual representations. Certificates are awarded on completion of a course.
